Scope: The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of intellectual property (IP) and patents. This role involves negotiating and securing IP rights through the execution of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with various departments such as Legal, Engineering, Finance, Accounting departments to support the company's strategic objectives. Activity: In accordance with Stellantis Code of Conduct (Ethics & Compliance), the Senior Buyer is accountable for the following activities: • Procurement Management: define and lead the Commodity Strategy (COMMS) of his/her perimeter and make supplier Recommendations (REC) during Sourcing Table decision meetings • Negotiation: generate the Purchase Agreement (contract), securing favorable terms and conditions. • Compliance: Ensure all IP and patent procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. • Collaboration: Work closely with legal, engineering, and product development teams to identify IP needs and support new product development. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IP procurement, including potential litigation and compliance issues. • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with IP suppliers and licensors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective procurement. Coordinate and prepare various business reviews with suppliers • Budget Management: Manage the budget for IP procurement, the reporting and the administrative work attached to these activities (purchase orders, amendments) ensuring cost efficiency and financial accountability. • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in IP procurement and implement best practices.
