·      Work closely with the field workers and the R&D operation team. ·      To carry out the sowings and plantings as per the suggested schedule and the layout. ·      Maintain breeding records and trial data in a centralized database. ·      Support in on and off station trial placements, monitoring, and data compilation. ·      Maintain need-based plant populations in greenhouse and open field for breeding projects. Suggest the operation team for necessary agronomic practices and pest controls to grow healthy plants. ·      Execute the breeding plan very precisely, as suggested by the breeder. This includes – proper layout, plant selection, labelling, error free pollination work for line maintenance, generation advancement and crossings for CMS conversion, trait introgression and hybrid development. ·      Supervise the field workers for seed harvesting, drying, thrashing, cleaning & packaging. ·      Processing, tracking, storage, labeling, and management of seed and plant inventory. Attend and participation in group meetings (physical & virtual as well) on various topics of interest. Collaborate with other breeding projects and share the common resources for improvemnt.
