Contract Strategy & Oversight
Define and implement contract management policies, tools, and procedures across all projects
Ensure consistency and compliance with contractual obligations, internal governance, and financing documentation
Supervise the administration of EPC and service contracts, including amendments, claims, and close-out processes
Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage and mentor a team of Contract Managers (typically 4–5)
Allocate responsibilities based on project needs and team expertise
Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development
Ensure coordination between Contract Managers and Project Managers for seamless project execution
Risk Management & Compliance
Oversee the identification and mitigation of contractual risks across projects
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of contractual events and deviations
Supervise the preparation of claims, pre-litigation files, and dispute resolution strategies in coordination with the legal department
Monitor compliance with internal rules, applicable legislation, and lender requirements
Contract Execution & Monitoring
Validate contract summaries and risk analyses prepared at project launch
Ensure proper follow-up of contractual obligations during execution and warranty phases
Supervise the issuance and receipt of guarantees, insurance documents, and non-technical deliverables
Oversee the calculation and application of liquidated damages (LDs) and final acceptance procedures
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the main point of contact for contractual matters with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Procurement, PMO) and external stakeholders (contractors, lenders, consultants)
Support Project Managers in managing contractual events, including delays, non-compliance, and regulatory changes
Facilitate coordination with lenders’ advisors and ensure contractual alignment with financing requirements
Tools, Methods & Reporting
Deploy and maintain tools for contract lifecycle management, archiving, and traceability
Consolidate contract-related reporting for senior management and external stakeholders
Lead lessons learned and REX processes related to contract management
