SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Marine Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria. Responsibilities:
Validate the design and specifications of new critical FSO equipment: Steam Boilers & Burners, FW Pumps, Steam Turbines, VRU and Inert Gas Systems (IGS).
Supervise refurbishment of existing marine system: Diesel Generator, cargo and ballast pumps, main engine,..
Review technical documentation for Engine Room auxiliary systems: Cooling Water, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil treatment, and Power Generation (Main & Emergency Generators).
Ensure compliance with Class requirements (e.g., BV, ABS) and International Regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL) regarding machinery and safety systems.
Construction: Supervise the installation of mechanical equipment at the shipyard, ensuring quality and accessibility for future maintenance.
Commissioning: Review Commissioning procedures (ATP). Supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for major rotating equipment.
Monitor Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities on board: flushing, leak tests, running tests of pumps and boilers, safety device checks.
Manage the punch list for marine systems until clearance.
Bring "Field" expertise to the project team regarding the operability of the FSO.
Assist in defining the spare parts list (SPIR) and maintenance procedures for marine equipment.
Support the "Start-up" team during the first oil and ramp-up phases.
Ensure safety critical elements (Fire water pumps, Emergency generators, Lifeboats, main engine) are fully operational and compliant.
Participate in HAZOP reviews, bringing practical insight into engine room safety and emergency response.

Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with all relevant Statutory and COMPANY HSE
standards.
Actively participates in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes and ensures the contractors under his/her responsibility are compliant
Promote personnel safety, protection of the environment and COMPANY assets in all operations involved with.
Ensure all aspects of the well completion preparation and operations comply with COMPANY Referential and best practices.
Perform QHSE audit of service companies in accordance to the company rule.
